However you look at it, this is a superb purchase for those of us into cycling for fun and convenience. Because it is a folding model it will comfortably fit into the boot/trunk of most cars. Just imagine the expression on peoples faces as you cruise past them on a hill or on the flat at 25 km per hour. Because the battery is hidden in the frame they'll think your superhuman. The power output to the wheels can be adjusted, simply select how much help you want from the electric system using the easy selector, start pedaling and the motor will assist as required. There is no drag when freewheeling. The Z1 version features an upgraded Shimano 7 speed gearbox, perfectly adequate for non-professional cyclists, instead of the standard fixed gear model. Other features include kick stand, No propping up on kerbs or against fences with this baby! Key operated throttle lock and rear wheel lock, if they're gonna steal this one they ain't gonna use it without changing the wheel. Battery life indicator, ensures you don't run out of battery before reaching home. Bright front LED headlight, ideal on dark and dismal mornings. Horn to let 'em know you're there, a rust resistant chain, essential in the UK. Re-charging times will vary depending on distance between charges but, a 20 miles journey in our experience requires a 4 hour re-charge. Zipper e-bikes meet the 'Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles' (EAPCs) requirements and are therefore classed as normal pedal bikes. This means you can ride it on roads, cycle paths and anywhere else pedal bikes are allowed.
